Hike Results

The Obstacle Course was a small agility course. The team time was the total for all team dogs to run the course. Penalty seconds were adding for knocking off a bar or skipping an obstacle. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 4 (4:06.45), 2nd – Team 5 (4:28.48), 3rd – Team 2 (4:36.67), 4th – Team 1 (5:12.03), 5th – Team 3 (5:48.17).

Tic-Tac-Toe was a variation of the game. A board was painted on the lawn. X’s had to do a sit stay. O’s had to do a down stay. If a dog got up, the spot was lost. All other rules were the same. It was best 2 of 3 in a mini tournament. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 4 (3 wins), 2nd – Team 3 (2 wins), 3rd – Team 1 (1 win), 4th/5th – Team 2 & Team 5 (no wins).

The Water Relay involved each team carrying water in a dixie cup (holding the dog on a leash) and emptying it into a larger cup. The team members continued until the large cup overflowed. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 3, 2nd – Team 5, 3rd – Team 1, 4th – Team 2, 5th – Team 4.

The Egg Relay involved each team carrying a hard-boiled egg on a spoon (holding the dog on a leash). Half the team was on each side of a space. The egg was passed back and forth. The quickest team won. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 5, 2nd – Team 2, 3rd – Team 4, 4th – Team 1, 5th – Team 3.

The Hot Dog Dunk involved a timed contest for one of a team's dogs to retrieve a hot dog from a pool and eat it. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 5 (:18), 2nd – Team 4 (:22), 3rd – Team 1 (:23), 4th – Team 3 (:27), 5th – Team 2 (:60).

The Ice Cream Eating Contest involved a timed contest for one of a team's dogs to eat a scoop of ice cream from a plate. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 2, 2nd – Team 4, 3rd – Team 5, 4th – Team 1, 5th – Team 3.

The Harness Relay involved a timed contest to have each dog harnessed, hooked to a skijor belt, go around obstacles, then pass belt to the next person/dog team. The placings were as follows: 1st – Team 5 (2:23), 2nd – Team 3 (2:27), 3rd – Team 4 (2:36), 4th – Team 1 (2:58), 5th – Team 2 (3:04).
